Uninstall Kokon completely
Kokon keeps everything it downloads in a few known folders, so you can remove it without leaving anything behind. The big part is the AI models (around 15 GB). Your images are never deleted: they stay in Pictures/Kokon unless you delete that folder yourself.
Windows
Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Kokon → Uninstall. At the end, the uninstaller asks whether to also delete the AI models and app data, and shows how much space that frees. Choose Yes and nothing else is left.
If you chose No earlier and want the space back, delete these folders (paste each path into File Explorer's address bar):
%LOCALAPPDATA%\KokonData
%APPDATA%\Kokon
%LOCALAPPDATA%\app.kokon.desktop
Linux
Quit Kokon, remove the package, then delete its folders:
sudo apt remove kokon # Fedora, openSUSE: sudo dnf remove kokon
rm -rf ~/.local/share/KokonData ~/.config/Kokon \
~/.local/share/app.kokon.desktop ~/.cache/app.kokon.desktop
Removing the package takes out the app only. The models live in ~/.local/share/KokonData, which is why the second command matters.
macOS
Quit Kokon and drag it from Applications to the Trash. Then, in Terminal, delete its folders:
rm -rf ~/Library/"Application Support"/KokonData \
~/Library/"Application Support"/Kokon \
~/Library/Caches/app.kokon.desktop ~/Library/Caches/kokon-engine-mac \
~/Library/WebKit/app.kokon.desktop \
~/Library/Preferences/app.kokon.desktop.plist
If you picked other folders
- Models in a folder you chose during setup: delete that folder too. The steps above cover only Kokon's default folder.
- Models you already had (“Use models I already have”): Kokon used them in place and never touches them. They stay yours.
- Docker: run
docker compose downin the folder withcompose.yaml, then remove thekokon-datavolume (engine and models) andkokon-config(settings);docker volume lsshows them with the folder name in front. Thekokon-galleryvolume holds your images: keep it or remove it as you like.
