In one line

Kokon is a free, open-source app that edits photos with AI from a sentence, entirely on your own computer: like Nano Banana, but private, offline and without limits.

Short description

Kokon lets anyone edit photos with AI on their own PC or Mac. Drop a photo, brush an area or just describe the change ("remove the scooter", "make it a snowy night"), and it's done. There is nothing to configure: Kokon picks the best open image model (today Qwen-Image 2.1), downloads it and tunes it for the computer's graphics card. No Python, no ComfyUI, no cloud, no account. It also ships an MCP server, so AI agents like Claude Code can create and edit images locally.
